Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. The club also re-assigned forward
Steven Goertzen to the Crunch
Platt has collected two penalty minutes in a pair of games with the Blue Jackets this season and has totaled 0-5-5 and 18 penalty minutes in 17 career NHL games with Columbus. He currently leads Syracuse in goals, points, power play goals (four) and shorthanded goals (two) having tallied 9-4-13, 10 penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 13 games. In 2005-06, he ranked third on the Crunch in scoring with 30-35-65 and 58 penalty minutes in 68 games as a rookie.
Goertzen registered 10 penalty minutes in seven games with the Blue Jackets this season and has totaled 54 penalty minutes in 46 career NHL games with the club. In 11 games with Syracuse this season, he has registered 2-2-4 and 38 penalty minutes.
