He split the 2010-11 season between Barrie and Saginaw, setting career highs for goals, assists and points with 9-22-31 and 99 penalty minutes in 52 games.

Savard has tallied 2-8-10 and 16 penalty minutes with an “even” plus/minus rating in 31 games with the Blue Jackets in 2011-12. Columbus’ third pick, 94th overall, in the 2009 Entry Draft, he has also picked up 3-13-16 and 55 penalty minutes in 37 games with Springfield.
