Blue Jackets Place Leclaire on IR; Recall Conklin and Glencross
COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed goaltender Pascal Leclaire on Injured Reserve, retroactive to February 20, and have recalled goaltender Ty Conklin and forward Curtis Glencross from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today.
Leclaire, 24, has gone 6-15-2 with a 2.97 goals-against average, .897 save percentage and one shutout in 24 games this season. He re-aggravated a knee injury originally suffered on December 22 vs. the Vancouver Canucks, which caused him to miss 20 games. Columbus' first pick, eighth overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft is 17-32-5 with a 3.13 goals-against average, .905 save percentage and one shutout in 59 career NHL games. Conklin, 30, appeared in 10 games with the Blue Jackets, starting five, and went 2-3-1 with a 3.38 goals-against average and .870 save percentage. He is 3-12-2 with a 3.35 goals-against average and .901 save percentage in 18 games with Syracuse this season. Glencross, 24, has 12-13-25 with 90 penalty minutes and is +4 in 41 games with the Crunch and Portland Pirates of the AHL this season. He made his NHL debut with the Anaheim Ducks on Jan. 13 vs. Colorado and scored a goal. He has recorded 35-27-62 with 244 penalty minutes in 140 career AHL games and 1-0-1 and two penalty minutes in two career NHL games. |
