Blue Jackets Place Brandon Dubinsky on IR

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets today announced that forward Brandon Dubinsky has been placed on Injured Reserve. Dubinsky, 26, suffered a sprained knee during the Blue Jackets’ February 16 road game against the Phoenix Coyotes. He will be re-evaluated in one week.

Acquired by Columbus in a trade with the New York Rangers last summer, Dubinsky has tallied 1-7-8 in 15 appearances this season, placing him third on the team in scoring. The 6-1, 210-pound native of Anchorage, Alaska, has appeared in 408 career NHL games, recording 82-139-221 in addition to a plus/minus rating of +21. He was selected by the Rangers in the second round, 60th overall, of the 2006 NHL Draft.

You are clearly an idiot if you didnt see this coming. Every team is playing 4 or 5 games a week. This was obviously going to happen in the condensed season.

Games every night, lots of guys hit camps cold etc..
