my hunch is Jarmo Kekelainen

he scouted for the blues, drafted a lot of players like oshie, perron, tarasenko and others while working with davidson in st. louis

Columbus would need You, Caps, blackngold, and probably Steg and 7 of his bar rats (just to bring in player talent)

TSN mentioned him as their frontrunner during the intermission of the Habs/Bolts game

Steen was drafted by the Leafs, one of John Ferguson Jr.'s few good moves in Toronto. Ferguson, ironically, is one of the guys being listed as a potential candidate by Darren Dreger.

What about Ron Hextall? I personally think he would be a good fit with the Blue Jackets.

if this was during the offseason, i could see hextall being more relevant as an idea, but mid-season, i don't personally think it would happen

I couldn't care less about the Blue Jackets but as a fight fan I'd like to see them hire Brian Burke but he isn't a realistic option as he supposedly only wants to work in a major hockey market. Ron Hextall would be my next choice.

I don't really know what Kekalainen's view on toughness is but considering he is European I'm pretty worried about what he would do with Boll and to a lesser extent Dorsett.

I think I speak for everyone on this message board when I say that it's about time Pierre McGuire finally got a chance to be a GM in the NHL!

I prefer to have Pierre on my TV. And yes, I'm 100% serious.

Howson was named the second general manager in Columbus Blue Jackets history on June 15, 2007. During his tenure with the club, the Blue Jackets compiled a 173-190-59 record and made their lone appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs after a franchise-best 41-31-10 mark in 2008-09.
We were all wondering when this was gonna happen. JD kills you with class and a smile.
