Blue Jackets Assign Five to Syracuse, Place Torres on IR
COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forwards Derek Dorsett, Nikita Filatov, Craig MacDonald and Derek MacKenzie along with defenseman Aaron Rome to the Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, and have placed left wing Raffi Torres on injured reserve retroactive to September 29, General Manager Scott Howson announced today.

Damn I thought Rome and MacKenzie would finally stick in Columbus, better for the Crunch though I guess.

Boll and Dorsett would have been fun to watch together. Hopefully Dorsett will get called up to the big club a couple of times this year.

According to the press release Filatov won't be with Columbus.
