COLUMBUS, OHIO – The
Columbus Blue Jackets have added center
Mike York to the roster on emergency recall from the
Syracuse Crunch, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, and assigned defenseman
Clay Wilson to the Crunch, Blue Jackets General Manager Scott Howson announced today.
York, 29, has registered seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points with 10 penalty minutes and a +8 plus/minus rating in 28 games this season with the Crunch. He leads the club in assists and points, while ranking second in plus/minus rating and is tied for third in goals. A veteran of 578 NHL games spanning eight seasons, the Waterford, Michigan native has tallied 127-195-322 and 135 penalty minutes. He signed with the Blue Jackets as a free agent on July 25, 2008.
Wilson, 25, notched 0-1-1 in five games with the Blue Jackets after being recalled by the club on Dec. 5. He has collected 8-7-15, including a team-leading five power play goals, and four penalty minutes in 23 games with the Crunch this season. In 233 career AHL games, he has registered 41-101-142 and 131 penalty minutes with a cumulative plus/minus rating of +34.
