COLUMBUS, OHIO – The
Columbus Blue Jackets have added forward
Derek MacKenzie to the roster on emergency recall from the
Syracuse Crunch, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager Scott Howson announced today. MacKenzie is expected to join the club in time for Tuesday’s game at Vancouver.
MacKenzie, 28, tallied 1-3-4 and was +4 in 16 games with the Blue Jackets earlier this season and in 62 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and
Atlanta Thrashers has collected 3-5-8 and 30 penalty minutes. The Sudbury, Ontario native has notched 5-11-16 and 14 penalty minutes in 20 games with the Crunch this season. He was originally Atlanta’s sixth pick, 128th overall, in the 1999 Entry Draft.
