Blake will remain a KING

Tonight it was said that Rob Blake will not waive his no trade claus and wants to remain a KING. Also the team has not asked Rob to if he could be traded. Blake stated he wants to be in LA for as long as it takes. 3 years to 5 years, he wants to see LA build a winning team.

I guess if you have a CUP, you can be where your heart is....

I can understand how he likes living in LA and being a millionaire, that's a good deal right there. I just can't understand him wanting to finish his career with that, shall we say, underwhelming franchise. And he'd have his choice of teams too... wow.

I guess now I don't have to order that red #4 jersey.

Maybe I misheard because I wasn't fully paying attention but I believe the Kings broadcast team said that Blake told them he hasn't been asked if he would waive his no trade clause. That is obviously different than Blake saying he won't accept any trade.

I think if Blake really wants to stay he will, but it is not like he is the most dominant player anymore. He still has skills, but i think he could be of better use to the Kings to groom the kids coming up then as a rental player for an extended cup run, which is my opinion.

He's far from the player he once was, but he could still be a very useful part of a team looking to make a playoff run. I guess he's content being on a losing team.

No he said he doesn't want to do it. That was first and he wants to be in LA forever how long it takes to rebuild.

He can only stay in LA one-two more seasons, after that he is obliged to join the Red Wings. LA is not the NHL's retirement home.
