A sensible signing finally. Brookbank should have no problem filling the 5-6 dman slot. He played all 82 games last year and is a solid stay at home defenseman. Welcome addition to an anemic penalty kill. Great size and fighting ability to boot. Welcome to Chicago, Brookbank.

Like this signing. Hopefully he'll actually give the Hawks what I was hoping O'Donnell would give them last year. Nice upgrade for the bottom pairing.

I think for guys like chilly and myself, we have pined for this guy for the last couple of years.
Im very excited to see the Hawks address the lack of physicality on the blueline with Brookbank.. I very solid signing. Im a happy Hawk fan today!

Who cares if he often loses?

He'll stick up for his mates and brings a good physical presence to line-up. I'd take him on my team.

don't get me wrong Brookbank's okay and good for Blackhawks getting him but I guess I just wish he was a lil more Wadey, as it were

Bollig, Brookbank, Carcillo, Mayers, sometimes Montador. Pretty stacked lineup.
Should be a fun year in the Central Division, even with the pu$sy red wings

I have a feeling he won't see many NHL games this season.

best enforced team in NHL? you are kidding right?

Montador really? Brookbank meh....Carcillo and Mayers are OK. Bollig is def a good guy. That's pretty much it. There are a few teams can handle Chicago easily.

It's a good signing, you can never have too many physical D-men in your organization.
