The Chicago Blackhawks have signed defenseman Simon Danis-Pepin (see-MOHN, da-NEE-peh-PEHN) to a three-year contract.

Danis-Pepin, 21, finished off a four-year career at the University of Maine (Hockey East) last season, leading club defensemen and tying for third overall on the team with a collegiate career-high 13 assists. The Gatineau, Quebec native served as a co-captain during his senior campaign while also accruing 29 penalty minutes.

Chicago’s third choice, 61st overall, in the 2006 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Danis-Pepin registered 36 points (6G, 30A) and 81 penalty minutes in 133 career games with the BlackBears spanning four seasons (2005-09).

first off what the hell are you watching to come to the conclusion that he didn't have a bad year? also you obviously don't watch many hawks games where he turtles or ducks guys when challenged. he's a coward and a bitch! he ran away from hordichuk at least three times this past year after laying a big hit on him. he doesn't man the **** up and fight the guys when challenged after hits, especially ones that are questionable. so quit kissin his ass and acting like he is god when he is no where close and give a fair assessment on his fights.
