Blackhawks Assign Richmond to Rockford

General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have assigned defenseman Danny Richmond to the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL.

Richmond had appeared in one game for the Blackhawks this season and had not scored. He has appeared in 43 games in his NHL career posting three assists with 73 penalty minutes. As a member of the Blackhawks, Richmond had played in 32 games with two assists and 66 penalty minutes.

Richmond was acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman Anton Babchuk back on January 20, 2006.

Love his heart... but he needs to stop trying to beat up guys with his face. Seriously He does have some skill on the Blueline, its just that Hawks are saturated with young talent on D right now.

I agree with you! I like Richmond. I am surprised no team picked him up.
