Blackhawks Add Danny Bois
The Chicago Blackhawks have signed right wing Danny Bois (BWAH) to a one-year contract.
Bois, 26, ranked third on the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Senators with 149 penalty minutes while collecting 12 goals and 24 points in 66 regular-season games. The Thunder Bay, Ontario, native appeared in one National Hockey League contest with the Ottawa Senators in 2006-07, accruing seven penalty minutes. The Colorado Avalanche’s second choice, 97th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Bois has racked up 968 penalty minutes and 113 points (54G, 59A) in 336 career AHL regular-season games spanning parts of five seasons (2004-09). He registered professional career highs in goals (18), assists (17), points (35) and games played (79) in 2005-06 with Binghamton. Prior to turning pro, Bois skated for four seasons with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights, registering 911 penalty minutes and 139 points (70G, 39A) in 236 regular-season games from 2000 to 2004. He also chipped in 25 points (12G, 13A) and 133 penalty minutes in 37 postseason tilts with London.

Bois deserved a shot in the NHL, and probably would have gotten one if he wasn't stuck in the most ridiculous organization in the NHL. These clowns would rather bring up a little Russian who is threatening to bolt out of NA unless he gets called up, to play 3 minutes a game and make zero contribution. Bois has always been a heart and soul player in Bingo, can fight pretty well, and is a solid player. Good pickup for the Hawks organization, big time loss for the Binghamton Senators.

I remember his cup of coffee he had with the Ottawa Senators. It's always promising when your first NHL fight comes against Donald Brashear.
Good signing by the Hawks.

I hope he makes the Hawks. He has a history with Cam Janssen and the Blues-Hawks games will be that much better.

I think Norfolk will be bad also. I am looking forward to watching other teams play, not the home team. Norfolk contract with TB ends after this season, hopefully they get rid of TB

This could be an interesting pick up. He did cut down on PIM and increased goals and assist.
Let's see, a guy who can play hockey, and fight. Could be a good start. The Colorado Avalanche’s second choice, 97th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Bois has racked up 968 penalty minutes and 113 points (54G, 59A) in 336 career AHL regular-season games spanning parts of five seasons (2004-09).
