Avalanche's Smyth out for season

Link

The Avalanche announced today that forward Ryan Smyth will miss the remainder of the season because of a fractured right hand.

Smyth sustained the injury during the second period of Wednesday night's game against the Phoenix Coyotes. He was the Avalanche's leading scorer with 59 points this season over 77 games.

The brutal season for Colorado just gets worse and worse - their fans must be glad its almost over.

But after 11 years or so of finishing first in the NW, I don't have one lick of pity for them.
