Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog Out for Unknown Time Period

Quote:
No timetable on Landeskog's return. Avs thought he was OK entering today, but obviously symptoms developed. Horrible news for Avs

Landeskog's injuries are to head and left leg. Avs not saying it's a concussion, but also not saying it isn't

I wonder if Sharks color commentator still wants to rant about how clean the hit was.

O´Reilly in Russia, Downie and Landy out, there goes our season, AVS fans. Well, who gives a **** about this shorthanded season anyway.

This year is all about Bordeleau for me. Sharks better dress everything who can fight February 26. Clean hit or not, Landeskog is a Calder trophy winner, a captain and you respond.

The best way to avoid these hits/plays is to keep your head up. I hope Landy is not out too long.

You are very much right. However it's easier said than done. Two reasons make it hard. One the speed of the game and two other players target the heads of others.

Stuart is a pretty clean hitter and always has been but IMO this hit was high and he went shoulder to head in what looked to me intentionally . Shame on the Avs for not dressing their nuclear deterrent (bourdeleau) in this game.

Again I agree You are taught from early on to keep your head up!!!!

thats the problem he played sparingly. Wasn't able to do his job because the NHL wants the rules to do the job of tough guys. Points are already at a premium 5-6 games into the season. Hence the reasons HW Are circling the drain.

Never thought I'd see the day where a clean Brad Stuart hit would hurt anyone.

Too bad we don't have Bertuzzi, he knows how to exact revenge for his El Capitan!

Obryn beat the piss out of him.

Pattrick did get a bunch of time late in the game.

the hit wasnt that dirty nor clean, he should skate with his head up, young guys seem to have that problem now.

Yeah, a guy who gets caught with his head down and takes a Kevlar-encased shoulder to the nugget at full-speed is, in your mind, soft as butter.

Man, that just makes no sense. It's not like he got hit with a Nerf ball for crying out loud.
