Avalanche Assign Michael Sgarbossa and Stefan Elliot to Lake Erie (AHL)
 

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has reassigned defenseman Stefan Elliott and forward Michael Sgarbossa to the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League. In addition, the club has placed forward David Van der Gulik on waivers effective Thursday (Jan. 17).

The Avalanche’s roster now stands at 23 players.

Tyson Barrie and Bordeleau have made the final roster..only way that changes is if O'Reilly signs by Sat.....which is looking unlikely

The only way O'Reilly signs in the near future is if he fires his agent and hires someone who has a clue. No team is going to give $5 million to a player who has totaled more than 26 points in a season exactly once.

I believe that the Avs are only carrying 13 forwards, which means Bordeleau is the only back-up forward...

With a 4th line of Mcleod-Olver-Kobasew....that would leave Bordy as the only extra forward, unless Minny dresses Kassian i dont see Birdy dressing Saturday, Sacco announced the other day he would keep 13 forwards and 8 defenseman

Kobasew has the flu. Let's hope he has a slow recovery!

Mike Chambers said Kobasew didn't make the trip, so Bordy is def in the lineup
