Avalanche Acquires Dowd from Chicago
DENVER – The Colorado Avalanche announced Thursday that it has acquired forward Jim Dowd from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for the club’s fourth-round draft choice in the 2006 Entry Draft.

Dowd, a 6-1, 190-pound forward is a veteran of 571 NHL contests spanning 14 seasons. He will be available to the Avalanche for tonight’s game in Chicago.

Yet another Wild player for the Avs. Bastards. Hes a solid 3rd-4th liner but really has nothing else to offer.

nothing significant in this deal, guess trying to add a veteran to the mix... though the Avs are already loaded with them.
