for the team yes, to see him back personally no. krog is the biggest primadonna i've ever met in my life. i like the macintyre signing along with mannino. if atlanta re-signs lehtonen, pavelec will be traded so we will still have two good goalies to take us thru the season. i hope this will help haydar come back, which is a good possibility. hopefully the dumbass coach granato lets them work their magic again with sterling.

our top six in chicago could look like this, which i like alot

krog, stapleton, sterling, crabb, machacek, holzapfel and maybe haydar which would kick crabb out but oh well.

joey crabb has re-signed as well with the trash bags.

Are you kiddin?? This is the team that has NEVER in TEN YEARS had a legit top-10 heavy. This is the team that let Hoff go because he fought too well in the AHL. Theyd never go after Stevie Mac.

That said, Im damn glad they keep Boults and Thor around. See below. Having Thor and Boults as your fighters is like these gloves.

sourdough hoffman told me that he wouldnt re-sign with atlanta as long as granato was the coach in chicago. he wasnt used right and no matter how good he was playing in a game, he would never see the ice in the 3rd and that pissed him off cause he can do more than just fight.

Radulov was/is under contract with the Predators so I guess Russia should be sending him back on the next plane too huh?

it is going to be another long year in Georgia for hockey fans. Neither of these signing are especially exciting, MacIntyre has to eventually blossom into a solid goalie, 26 years old and has 2 career games under his belt. Sure, he played under good goalies, but you need to earn your spot as a goalie in this league.

these signings along with kiwi are for the wolves and emergency call-ups. atlanta has 7 defenseman already (if they re-sign valabik) so kiwi comes home to chicago. krog could stick up, but who knows. macintyre is gonna be the #1 since atlanta has nobody to be in goal. if lehtonen re-signs, pavelec will be traded. if lehtonen doesn't re-sign pavelec will be in atlanta.

He seemed like a pretty good guy when he was on the Thrashers (I wasnt able to watch him much with the Wolves) and I thought he played pretty well. Always wondered why he didnt ever stick in the NHL, but I guess his shot just never worked out in his favor.

Great. If thats true, and I have no reason to doubt it or proof to refute it, then more power to him, and Im glad hes gettin out from under a situation like that. Hopefully he catches on somewhere else and forces Granato to play a tough guy in the third sometime. Hes another that I always wondered about. Cause it seemed like the Thrashers were interested in him till he broke his hand at training camp, and then there would be the occasional mention of him like they were thinkin about bringin him up, but after he recovered there was almost nothing more to be heard about him. But at camp it was like they were just waiting on him to heal to bring him up. Maybe they figured Valabik, Thor, Ex and Boults had taken up the necessary slack? I dunno. I didnt think he got a fair shake in the Thrashers organization.

for kiwi he unfortunately at best is a #5 d-man in the nhl, but he's sure as hell one of the best the ahl can have in the league. his problem is that he takes too many minors (mostly from being out of position from a rush) and isn't too sound in his own zone. that's why i think he has issues sticking.

as for hoffman his sliced wrist also contributed to him not getting called up towards the end of the year. if he can have a good, healthy year w/o a broken hand he should get a chance with an nhl club.

as for granato you and i have talked and you know my thoughts. he has one more year left on his deal and if he doesn't win the cup with these guys comin back and strong goaltending (best in ahl at moment) he better be gone and they should bring in someone who will know how to use the players like krog and kiwi.
