This guy was a joke when he was in the ECHL for the Checkers. Trever Senn use to give it to him all the time.

There are so many other players in the AHL that are better players as well as a lot tougher.

Boulton must have really wanted that 1 way contract. With that said, Boulton, even though many don't like him, his style or his toughness, he belongs in the NHL. He may be smaller and there are far tougher players in the AHL, but i'd rather have him playing in the league rather than ALWAYS sitting in the pressbox or un-replaced and back down in the American League.

That's a ridiculously uninformed statement. Are there tougher players in the AHL? Yes. Are these AHL players capable of playing as good or better than Boulton in an NHL lineup? No. Do these AHL players have the veteran and locker room presence of Boulton? No.

He was far from a "joke" in the ECHL or anywhere else for that matter. You're comparing Trevor Senn to Eric Boulton? Senn played a total of 29 games in the AHL and IHL.

Easy there buck shot. Did I hit a nerve? Doesn't everyone have a right to voice their opinions. Yes, Trever did only play a handful of games. Pound for pound though, there aren't too many guys that were as tough as him. His size is what hurt him. The samething that will hurt Mirasty. To say that there are guys in the AHL who aren't capable of playing as good or better than Boulton is a ridiculous statement.

While Boulton might never be heavyweight champ, this means there is just one less option that the Islanders could have brought in to fill the gaping need for an enforcer.

Sure, everyone has the right to voice their opinions. I'm voicing my opinion that your opinion blows.

Size wasn't the only thing that hurt Senn, it was his lack of skating ability more than anything. When Senn played in the minors, the talent gap between the minor leagues and the NHL was huge. That gap has slimmed considerably over the last decade or so.

If my statement is so ridiculous, give a list of players currently in the AHL who meet all of the following criteria: a) tougher than Boulton, b) the same or better playing and skating ability as Boulton, and c) the same or better veteran and locker room presence as Boulton.

Good luck. Humpzilla loved your post apparently, maybe he can help you out. He's the hockeyfights.com leader in post quantity, I'm sure he's got time to do so!
