Anaheim Trades Petteri Nokelainen to Phoenix
The Anaheim Ducks have acquired a sixth-round selection in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft from Phoenix in exchange for center Petteri Nokelainen.
Nokelainen, 24, (1/16/86), has appeared in 50 games with Anaheim this season, scoring 4-7=11 points with 21 penalty minutes (PIM). He also played in 17 games with the Ducks last season, scoring 4-2=6 points with six PIM. Nokelainen was acquired from Boston in exchange for Steve Montador on Mar. 4, 2009.
A native of Imatra, Finland, Nokelainen was drafted by the New York Islanders in the first round (16th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He has appeared in 172 career NHL games, scoring 16-16=32 points with 60 PIM. |
