Pretty sure there would be no suspension if it weren't for Campbell being gone for the rest of the year.

this is awesome. its only fault is that it shows there might be some logic that goes into suspensions.

someone needs to a "wheel of fortune" version.

Oh well two games is ok with me.Not like it will hurt their playoff chances anyway. They came back against a good team without him anyway.I love the way AO plays the game.

He was supposed to get one game anyway for picking up his 3rd game misconduct, so this actually is just a one game suspension for this particular hit.

This is still preferential treatment because he's a star. He will continue to get breaks and not be held accountable for his actions. The guy is dirty and someone needs to send him a message.

That wasn't dirty at all IMO, he kinda gave a guy a shove that was already off balance and he fell awkwardly. This league is turning so soft it's sad.

The league did well to suspend. If there aren't going to be enforcers on the ice to make sure hits like this happen less, without suspensions they're going to happen daily.

Now, I'd be much happier seeing HWs take care of business, but alas.

What a load of fuking sh!t. He gets suspended because Campbell toe picked when he had the puck and he got pushed.

Still, Campbell got hurt. Every Blackhawk on the ice shouldve gotten five games for not even saying a word to Ovechkin.

I totally agree with everyone on this board that this hit was not as severe as Cookes, however it was still dangerous and deserves a suspension.

The first half of your statement is correct about Cooke/Savvy but OV engages Soupy on his back not the side. This is a hit from behind/boarding penalty. Even if Soupy doesn't slip he still gets throttled from behind into the boards and OV picks up a boarding penalty but Soupy still in a Blackhawks jersey the rest of the season.

Didn't even deserve a major IMO 2-4 at the most what a joke!

Wrong Campbell, buddy. Gregory Campbell of the Panthers is his son and Colin Campbell is not allowed to administer any suspensions that involve the Panthers due to his son being on the team.

Cooke kills Savard, Downie clips Crosby, Richards kills Booth and they all get nothing.

OV does deserve his suspension as he is reckless, exciting player yes, but you never saw Pavel Bure do this except for the Elbow From Hell on Shane Churla which was his only incident I can think of.

Colin Campbell is a terrible disciplinarian to say the least...

You're thinking of Gregory Campbell of the Florida Panthers.

Edit: Beat me to it.

As confused as Colin Campbell is when it comes to suspensions he very well could have been confused and thought is was his son....
