Arron Asham Out Indefinitely With Concussion Symptoms

Quote:
Right wing Arron Asham is the sixth Penguins player to be diagnosed with a concussion or concussion symptoms this season. He is out indefinitely after experiencing symptoms during the Penguins' 6-3 victory in Tampa Bay on Sunday.

"(He has) symptoms that are concussion-like, and we are treating it as such," Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said.

Always sad to see a fighter go down with injury. NHL is getting Fifa soft while concussions are at the highest level ever. League is turning into the NFL.

All these concussions can't be just because everyone is more "aware". Are they being too cautious? This is really getting out of control. I know equipment is very much like a weapon but to make things this bad?

Asham thinks its fight related from when he fought Barch. Considering this is his 987th concussion its safe to say he may not be back the rest of the year.

He actually was pulled from the Tampa game because he started getting sick as the game went along. Damn shame.

He needs to take the rest of the year off, maybe even call it a career.

Asham doesn't even know. He just said he felt weird during the Panthers game and was pulled for a bit I think. Then he said he started getting more and more sick as the Tampa game went along, to the point where he was getting to the point of throwing up. The Pens staff listed him as ill, so even they didn't know it was a concussion.
