Would it surprise you if I told you love watching hockey without fighting?

What if I told you everyone on this board loves hockey without fighting and in fact cheers even more so than when there is no fighting? How do I know this? All I did was look at this websites own statistics. It's found in the fight logs archive section of the website.

And it's called the playoffs my friends. Pure hockey, no fighting, all skill!! And everyone loves it!

So, are you going to counter the point with some argument, or are we going to mudsling?

As you wish. I hate hockey without fighting.

Argument crushed.

I can easily get into a playoff series that has passion, hard hitting, ref letting them play (no weak calls) and two evenly matched teams without fighting. Take out one of those then without fights I'm out.

Playoff hockey is usually way more exciting then regular season hockey. Hence the term "This is like a playoff game"

Two different things, but if there was no fighting in hockey period I think I would still watch it. Not as much though.

I think if the NHL tried to have a full 82 game schedual without fighting like college and paid guys millions of dollars, someone would get killed.

what a bullshiiter. You have been watching and defending the Red Wings play on here the last 5 years. They do no hitting even in the playoffs.

Why the change of heart?

I can watch a lot of sports when they are playing for a championship simply from the intensity of the particular series/game. But looking at the sport as one I follow and love hockey has to have fighting. Without it I will only be a partial observer and mostly a critic.
