Winter Classic officially biggest joke in all pro sports

Refs call nothing practically all game then in the final five minutes with Rangers up a goal...

1) BS call on McDonough
2) Noncall on Gaborik break
3) Callahan's minor for embellishment
4) A FUKCING PENALTY SHOT!?

Was it cool seeing the Rangers in it? Absolutely! Do I want them in it again? Nope. I think it was painfully obvious that the refs were trying to get this game into OT/shootout. Let the boys play hockey. I cant wait to hear Torts in the postgame. Even the non-biased Flyers fans here had to have been shaking your heads at some of the bullsh*t calls.

They might as well make this the NHL allstar game...though the outcome decides the Stanley Cup. What a circus, with the last few minutes being pretty ridiculous. The nhl just isn't something you can take seriously anymore. That said, i enjoyed a few moments

Complete sh!tshow from the zebras at the end and even still, the deserving team won. The puck doesnt lie.

Don't forget the high stick to Artie's face in the first period that the referees somehow missed.
Worst refereeing that I have seen since the days of Gregg Madill!

Absolutely pathetic to watch... the McDonough penalty can be brushed off as a bad call...whatever. But then to call that and not the obstruction of Gaborik seems pretty sketchy.

The blatant hook on the empty net rush was RETARDED. At that point it became a ****ing JOKE....the penalty shot was just comical at that point. I've never been so happy to see the Rangers win a hockey game...just to see Bettman not get his fantasy overtime in front of the Philly crowd made my day

The refs were pretty unbelievable especially at the end there. Glad it didnt effect the outcome and the deserving team won. Great game by Rupp btw

Everytime I say the officiating is biased against the crappier teams in the NHL, people tell me to take my tinfoil hat off.

Well, here you go. I've seen enough this year to know they have no trouble telling their officials to help decide what happens in games (NBA STYLE).

That's why they won't call them out like other leagues do. The NFL will apologize to teams when their refs screw up. I love how they have refs work games in cities they're from. A guy from Montreal has no business doing a Habs game.

Sure, some of the referees' calls in the final minutes of the game were beyond absurd, however, the game itself was still a good paced game with lots of hits and lots of scoring chances. I only saw the last 2 periods, but I enjoyed the game and didn't let the stripes idiocy ruin it for me. The better team still won.

That was almost as bad as this call with 3 minutes left in the game by the ref who grew up 2 hours from Toronto.

Huh? How does this determine the who wins the cup?

That said, the reffing was bad. I couldn't believe some of those late calls. The penalty shot just seemed forced.

Tell me you also see Johnny T stick Lupul in the stomach at the start of that vid. I'm sure he wasn't thrilled about that
