I was hoping Buffalo wasn't done at Montador. I held out hope that Beauchemin could find his way onto our roster, hopefully at the expense of Tallinder or Lydman. Now that I see Toronto got him I am bummed. I am not looking forward to watching Philly, Boston, and Toronto pound on Buffalo for 16 games next season.

Can't wait til Kassian is ready for the big show.

Being a Sharks fan I'm pretty disappointed with what the Sharks have done so far or lack there of...I hope Dwil has something up his sleeve....a trade?

He should have listened to his own advice. Hope his payoff from the Rags was worth it.

To get tougher. Check.
To get Tavares. FAIL.
To get the twins. FAIL.
How about making any big name signing? FAIL.

1 out of 3 is 33%, maybe even 1/4 (25%). That is a fail no matter how you slice it.

Montreal doesn't re-sign Kovalev, let's him go to Ottawa.

And the hits just keep on comin'. I hope Montreal loses 60 games this year.

How did they not "let him go". They had all season to re-sign him. It was the Habs who didnt offer him a contract, not Kovy turning it down.

Tuck in all honesty how do you think Habs fans will respond when Komi, Kovy and Kouivu (assuming he signs elsewhere) come back to Montreal.

Just curious not looking to start trouble.

I say kouivu gets applause, Komi and Kovy get booed.

I'm pretty sure the Habs offered Komi a new contract, which he rejected to test the free agent market, but a Habs fan can probably confirm that better than me.

They got better, and to say they didn't is the stupidest thing i ever heard, they dumped alot of salary getting rid of Kubina, who was replaced with Komisarek(which im not happy with), we got Exelby.
They haven't done much with forwards, but on defense they got leaps and bounds better.
Between Komi and exelby they had 2 goals last year,Kubina had what 16?? I know they are differnet type D.men but who will move the puck ?? kaberle will be traded so what happens with the pp,Beauchemin will be a huge pick up but is he 100% healthy??I get a kick out of Tsn They are all over the leafs,They can do no wrong,Granted they will be harder to play against but i dont see them any better.

Did he accomplish his goals? No. To me, and about every other person in the world who isn't a Toronto homer would admit that he failed at his goals.

Stop whining.

I think Burke did what he set out to. Tough enough to please the fans but crap enough to finish in the basement and land a good draft pick. T.O will be hard to play against but still very beatable.

Rangers- Winners. Dumping the second worst contract in the league(redden being the worst) for any kind of an upside is worthy of being called a winner. no execptions. Also, Brash has a mean streak in him so that is always going to pose a problem for their opponents.

Devils- Losers. I dont care that they lost players that Devs fans say can be replaced, when you do nothing to improve your team, you have lost.

Anaheim- losers. Not big ones, but when you lose prong and bau and pick up koivu, thats a loss. I know they will have cap problems and thats why they had to lose.

Chicago- Losers. Although I think Chicago is almost a lock in the conf finals, I think the Hossa signing was terrible. They'll have more important parts to sign in the next few years to big money. All his contract does is make it harder with the talks of the cap going down. As for just next year, they are winners.

Leafs- eventual winners-They didnt really get much worse. Only added much needed sand paper. I expect them to dump Kaberle for a legit top 6 forward at the worst to make the offseason a big success.
