What can we do?
So you've been anti-instigator since you were 7 years old?

Dropping the instigator won't eliminate the cheap shots.
There were as many cheap shots pre-instigator, probably more, but players knew exactly what to expect for their actions, and it usually involved a good pounding or a bench brawl. Player justice, that's fine with me and much preferred.

Q: Why didn't the NHL award Hamilton a professional hockey franchise?

A: Because then Toronto would want one too.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh THAT one. You mean the same instigator where at least 50 other threads were started damning it's existence? (Not counting the ones where the rocket scientists on here misspelled instigator and spelled it 'innigator', 'insagator', intagator', 'alligator', etc.)

You have a couple solid posts in this thread. But, I think guys are likely to jump someone because they fear the 2 minutes their team would be shorthanded for rather than the 10 minutes they would miss. I could see it go both ways though.

I think a guy like Colton Orr is less likely to jump a cheapshot artist and put is team down a man rather than him sitting in the box serving his misconduct.

i think getting the suspension gone from instagating a fight in the last 5 minutes would help too...people do dirty stuff at the end of the game cause they know the players who would do the beatings wouldnt want to be suspended

He's fought tougher than Brad May? Brad May is one of the best middleweight to light heavyweight fighters there is.....

May could not even beat Tanner Glass...maybe he was one of the best middleweights...but that's not anymore the case IMO.
