I was at the Halifax Mooseheads game last night (Thursday). The Mooseheads win was Halifax's 15th in a row at home, tying a franchise record. The big highlight of night was when they public address announcer told everyone in the 2nd period that Mackinnon and Drouin had made team Canada. I just got back from my last game til after Christmas. The Mooseheads edge Bathurst 4-3 and set a franchise record with 16 wins in a row at home. They won today despite playing without there 3 best forwards, best defenseman, and starting goalie. A good character win!

Speaking of records the Knights ran their win streak to 19 games last night setting a new team record for consecutive wins , they did it in spectacular fashion , scored the wining goal on a deflection with 4 seconds left in the game and missing their top four D-men .

The second record was the teddy bear toss , 10,671 bears for a new OHL record .

Killah , we are both blessed to be watching the two hottest teams in the CHL right now ..

Busy hockey weekend for me , game last night , off to scout the midget all star game at 1 : oc this afternoon , been asked to take a look at a couple players , for future draft picks .

Sunday another double header , game at two in the afternoon , then off to a 7:30 game , will leave the house at 12 noon and wont get back until 12 midnight .
Four games in 3 days , "GOD I LOVE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR" !!!!!

Over the next 12 days of X-mas I will be spending most of my time in an arena , I have 10 hockey games and Tournaments to attend and hope the weather holds so I can make them all , dont know if I will have time to take in some of the all day hockey tournaments that the first games start at 6 : am , I just dont have enough hours in a day at this time of the year , and you get sick of hot dogs and ham-burgers , but some of the arenas make great fries and coffee and their is always a place close to the arena's that makes a decent breakfast , it's the two-three hour drive too get their by 6 : am in the wee hours I dont like , have too leave the house at 3 : am sometimes , think I will just take in the local tourneys this year ......

I am going to the Lake Erie - Rochester game at the Blue Cross Arena on Wed 12/26 with a bunch of guys I "grew" up with. We are hitting up the new Genny Brew Pub before the game to get warmed up on Red Eye's and Screamers

Taking in a Fort Wayne Komet hockey game tonight, then Saturday. that is how I will be spending my birthday tonight

Hope you don't get too pi$$ed up before the game , the Police around have the "RIDE PROGRAM" in full force , the OPP ( Ontario Provincial Police) have laid over 800 impaired charges in the last week , that is not counting the charges city police have laid , just not worth having a few beers before a game unless you have a DD , I am always the "DESIGNATED DRIVER" when we go out for a few ..

I here ya! Most of us have grown up a bit, and are much more careful. We have careers to maintain. Me included. We'll be rolling with a city cop, so I'm sure he will keep us in check.

Tickets to both games were a Christmas present from the old lady. My team is currently riding a franchise record 17 game home winning streak. They will be in tough thou as their first line (Droiun-MacKinnon-Frk) are all away at the World Juniors. I will probably be sporting my new Moosehead jersey that i got for Christmas.
