damn i thought $25 was expensive for a lower level seat at the top of a section at center ice....

i honestly have no idea. like i said, i think it's just bad arena management. "we're dying here! let's just raise the ticket prices and try and make some money!". it's working right now, but come December when no one wants to leave their house, they'll be right back to me and 45 other people trying to get a wave going.

I guess you can say I am blessed with the amount of good hockey teams we have in the area I live in .
If I wanted too I could attend a game almost every day of the week .
Just too give you an example I am within a half hour to an hour and a half drive from 8 Junior "A" team's , London Knights , Sarnia Sting , Windsor Spitfires , Guelph Storm , Kitchener Rangers , Niagara Ice dogs , Brampton Battalion , Mississauga Steel-heads , all teams I have attended games at last year , Sarnia is the only other Junior "A" team I have attended beside London this year . I haven't missed a Knight's game . The season is still young .
Junior "B" is another story , I take in at least two games of "B" hockey a week , the three four games I attend every week is all my wife can stand until playoffs come around , then their is no limit to the amount of games I will attend , I have taken in 5 games in 3 days during the playoffs , (three night games and two afternoon games) .
LOCK OUT ?? WHAT LOCKOUT !!!!!

For a hockey-mad area there sure isn't much out there for live hockey entertainment. Some guys are saying they want to bring Major Junior (please WHL over OHL but either way) or AHL hockey to Thunder Bay. That'd be nice.
I dont know what the he!! you are talking about when you call the Lakehead University Thunderwolves a crappy hockey team .
Some of their games against the University of Western Ontario Mustangs out of London Ontario have been classics and dam good hockey .

Granted they could use a Junior "A" team in Thunder Bay , or the AHL , they would fill the arena for every game ..

Heading out to the Crunch game with the wife shortly. Tickets still reasonable. I think $19 is the most expensive ticket.

Will be following the Portland Pirates (Coyotes AHL club) this whole season. I really like the makeup of this team. They have some powerfowards in Chris Brown, Scott Arnold (looking forward to this guy), Jordan Martinook, and Phil Lane on the upper lines. They also have plenty of smaller skilled guys and offensive defenseman. Rechlicz, Dziurzynski, and Louis will mainly handle the fighting followed by Arnold, Lane, Szwarz, Werek, Hextall, Brown, and Bolduc. Should be entertaining.

The hockey game season opener between the Toronto Marlies and the Rochester Americans was on TV , I watched it , the game was fast with lots of hitting , it was won by the Marlies 3-1 , good hockey can still be found on TV , all you have to do is look for it ..

Probably here:

In all seriousness though maybe the Dub [WHL's nickname in Western Canada for those who don't know]. Vancouver Giants are pretty cool.

I was in Ann Arbor for a visit and got to stop by the U Michigan game. Those kids can really play and the atmosphere was great. I would go to every game if I lived in the area.

Did anyone see fights this weekend? I saw one NA3HL scrap today. I forgot to hit the record button, so I don't have it on video. Our guy stepped in at the end of the period for a guy and gave the guy a beat-down.

Went to my first ever Hull Olympiques game today. My mom kept saying she wanted to go see a hockey game, and I refuse to drive over an hour to see the 67s at SBP. As far as I'm concerned, it's still baseball/CFL season, so I'm fine. But I said, what the hell, 4pm matinee against Chicoutimi.

There were about 2 or 3 not half bad scraps, and my mother was terrified by the snaggle toothed French rednecks punching the plexiglass and the walls with fury at a penalty call, making death threats at 16 year old boys. I found this all thoroughly amusing.
