please God let Lundqvist finally win.

But hey three nods in your first three seasons aint bad. wins he comes up short but gaa is close with all three but can you argue with 10 shutouts?

While Henrik and Marty had very good years, I think that San Jose relied on Nabokov so much putting him in game after game, and he was outstanding night in and night out. Not that the other guys weren't great, but I think it's Nabby's year.

I voted for Marty because he is the only reason the Devils got to the playoffs. I think King Henrik will win this year though.

This year comes down to Brodeur vs. Nabokov. Lundqvist had a good year just wasn't as good as the other two plain and simple.

Brodeur and Nabokov had pretty much even #'s but I think it has to go to Brodeur just for basically carrying the Devils on his back into the playoffs this year and not having as good a team in front of him as Nabokov.

Marty Brodeur for me. The way that he played in goal, and the way that he had to deal with Sean Avery was an absolutely inspiring story for me. Tear jerking even at times.

Nabokov. Did this guy even get a day off? And as soon as the Sharks are out he goes to play for his country. Two more wins then Marty. I know playoffs don't count but he did have the save of the year as well. You expect a season like this from Broduer and the defense first Devils.

Nabokov gets my vote. He was hot and consistent from the start of the season. He had no pressure behind him (Toskala to the Leafs), which enabled him to focus and make saves that were just crazy. He could stop a marble. Campbell just made things a little tiny bit easier for him.

"I would go with Nabby," Dallas Stars goalie Marty Turco told The Canadian Press. "He was pretty solid all year long. I've seen him a lot, more than probably most people. He's my pick and I think he'll win."

Upset Lundqvist isn't even being considered here besides from idiot bias Rangers fans? My argument is a legit one and you know it.

Going to play for his country after the season has absolutely no bearing on the award and playoffs don't count.

You need to take into account the Nabokov played behind a much better team than Brodeur did. Also the Devils were a heavy forechecking team this year under Brent Sutters new system and their defense corps was pretty bad talent wise.

Without Brodeur this season the Devils wouldn't have made the playoffs.

All of that being said I could see it going to Nabokov too because he had a great year as well and I wouldn't be upset about it.

Exact same thing could be said for San Jose without Nabokov.

Eh.

How does Leclaire not get the nod over Lundquist is my question here. He had .02 worse GAA and one less shut out. But, he had .07 higher S% and played on a MUCH worse team, facing more high quality opportunities against him. I just can't believe this guy didn't get at least acknowledged.

Having said that, I think Nabby wins this time around. His stats are the least complete of the 3, but all through the regular season (up until they get Campbell basically) he was the only defense the Sharks had. He played phenomenal this year.

Fair point. But King Henrik plays in NY.
