It's the Memorial Cup. There are three junior leagues in Canada's CHL, the WHL, the OHL, and the QMJHL. At the end of the year the champions of each league and the host city team (four teams in total) have a playoff to see who is the best team in the CHL.
There's a thread with discussion of the Memorial Cup if you're going to be following it:
Memorial Cup 2008 Discussion
It's a great tournament. A ton of good teams, lots of superb talent and hockey, usually a few really exciting games (Belleville just tied it from down 3-0 as I was typing that!) and from time to time, some great fights. Check Youtube for the Chicoutimi and Spokane back in 1991. One of the great brawl in Junior hockey history. Spoakne was the host team that year and I belive that was the last time they were in the toruney.
