Slap Shot vs. Slap Shot 2

I just watched this a couple nights ago, for the first time in almost 10 years. From what i remember it from the first viewing, just horrible. But it seems to be a lot better than what I recalled it to be (the "gay", fake hockey ****).

I only watched it once when I got it as a part of the 25th anniversary DVD set. On it's own, I didn't think it was terrible. An average movie that maybe I would watch again someday. But since it used the Slap Shot name, I held it to Slap Shot standards and it severely bombed. Wasn't there a Slap Shot 3?

I always crack up when Moe Wanchuk does the big "HAH!"

slapshot 2 was obviously not close to the original, but it wasn't that bad. I've watched it probably 3-5 times.

I've only seen 3 once and it was terrible if I remember correctly.

Like so many here I've watched Slap Shot probably 75 times. I remember renting Slap Shot 2 when it came out and watching about 30-45 minutes and then shutting it off. A couple years ago I got the 3 pack for Christmas. My girlfriend wanted to get me the original cause I lost my copy of it and she said the 3 pack was cheaper than buying the original on it's own which shows you how valuable 2 and 3 are. We watched 3 and it seemed pretty bad. I don't really remember it other than it had to do with kid's hockey and the Hanson's had a really cheesy role in it.
