Im really surprised there arent any Pred fans yet....I figured with the way they took the regular season that the bandwagon would be full.

Speaking about when you became a fan of your favorite team, I think it would be more interesting to know why you are fan of your team.
Because of the players that are playing or have been playing for them?
Or simply because it's your hometown team or nearest NHL-franchise?
Or because it's a family tradition to be a fan of the respective team?
Or because you liked/like the logo and colours?
Or because you like the way they are playing?

I'm a Bruins fan since the Italian National team in the late 70's early 80's was build with italo-canadiens the way the Bruins played in the 70's. The Big Bad Bruins where somehow the team the Italian National team was idolizing.
i like the leafs

i also love detroit

my uncle lives in toronto and i swear to god he is the biggest hockey fan ever

his mom and dad died 2 months from each other.

I am, and always have been a Flyers fan for as long as I can remember. When i was just about old enough to understand what hockey was (proabably 1st grade) that's when Lindros, Brind'Amour, Leclair, and even Hextal were still with the team. So i guess i became a fan because they were the hometown team and because of the players. I stayed a fan because...well it's Philly, that's what you do!

when i was about 3 or 4 i grew up watching the rangers with my dad. the first games i went to were ranger games. i never liked the rangers but my dad did and i was young and barely knew any teams in the league. then in 95 during at the end of the season i found out there was a team in new jersey (btw, i was like 5 years old and pretty stupid). and then i started casually watching the devils but stopped (well not stopped, i still watched the playoffs) because i started watching basketball. but then all of the sudden in late 2001 i played a video game nhl hitz 2002 and i loved and i started to watch hockey again and now i've become a hockey freak. i also stopped watching basketball so im basically 100% hockey now and football and watch baseball in the summer.

all in all, i've been watching the devils right out of the 95 lockout then stopped around 98 but started watching again late in 2001.

LMAO, the Wings are the most pussified team yet only 2 teams have more fans (according to this site) than them.

Pu$$y team or not, I have always been a Wings fan. Born and grew up in Detroit, so my two teams were the Wings and Vipers.

Now, the Las Vegas Wranglers are inching closer to the top spot.

haha no one likes florida, carolina, or nashville... great cities to put those franchises in Bettman, nice work. I'm pretty sure Hockey isn't meant to have country music played during stoppages.

Welcome aboard! And seeing as how you're a Flames fan, I'm afraid as of now, I have to treat you as my mortal enemy.

So uh....yeah....Flames suck. Rock on.

Ducks since 93, although when I got to know hockey the Flyers were my fav team and I still like them. But I got attached to the Ducks; it was interesting to follow a birth and growth of a franchise and I was near Anaheim when they started playing. Also they were the worst team on NHL 94 and I liked playing with the underdogs.
