Preseason Tickets

So I bought 4 tickets to Rangers Devils preseason hockey on Sept 26. I bought the tickets back in August hoping for the best and no lockout.

Anyway long story short, I called to see if I was going to get a refund or what to do with the tickets today and the Rangers ticket agent told me the game was still on and there is no talk of cancellation. So I asked who was going to play and they couldnt tell me that.

I know in preseason games there are a lot of guys trying to make the team so there are a lot of AHL guys playing anyway and only a few of the NHL team guys play. But Im wondering if its going to be all AHL players or who they are actually going to play.

Im only an hr from ALbany so thats why I bought these tickets, figured, Rangers vs Devils so close to home even if its preseason it will be fun. But I wanna know whos gonna play.

If you want to know who is going to play, no one knows the answer to that. You'll find that out only when the day arrives. If you want to know if your tickets will be valid, they definitely will be even when the game is rescheduled.

I called to find out if they were still going to have the game and they said they would absolutly have the game.

I guess I shouldve made myself more clear about the question I asked. I asked the rep, if the NHL stays locked out will they have the game and will there be any NHL players playing.

I thought that unless they players had a 2 way contract, then they cannot play in the NHL. But idk that much about that stuff.

no there will not be. the teams have to go on business as usual until the league formally cancels games within regards to money. hence why you see teams offering fans choices of what to do with their money that is already down for season tickets and other tickets.

the only thing i could think that they will do is have the whale and devils (albany) play a game there...but now thinking about it, training camps in the ahl don't open til the 28th so i actually don't think that will happen either.

no one is gonna have a valid nhl contract as long as the lockout goes on so there can't be a game.

If the game is cancelled, those who purchased tickets will receive a refund, Times Union Center general manager Bob Belber said.

"Should the league make an announcement that the preseason games in September are cancelled, we would make an announcement about our event and immediately refund anyone who bought tickets," Belber said.

Here's your answer, brotha.
