No road to the finals is easy, and there's no better way to do it than resolving some old issues along the way. This year is the Canucks turn to flip the tables - Vancouver in 6.
The fans want this, the players want this - everyone's pissed about the way the last two playoffs ended. The Hawks looked like like they still had the Canucks number after they drubbed them 7-1 in Vancouver back in November, but the Canucks vastly improved their play since then and beat Chicago in their last two meetings after that game. They still might have a psychological edge over them, but I think this team is strong and more mature enough now to get over that hump and gain a huge measure of revenge. It won't be easy though. But still - if the Canucks lose this, for a third straight year to the same team that is no where near as stong as they were last year, heads will roll.

I think most Hawks fans wanted Vancouver first...
This is going to be very difficult for the Hawks to do, considering that they are a shell of a team compared to the last two years. They are way too one dimensional and have a hard time getting the dirty work done. the only advantage I see the Hawks having is the playoff phantom that seems to haunt the nucks. That alone should not be discounted, however on paper the nucks have every other advantage. should be a great series, and although my head says one thing.. im going with my heart and taking the Hawks in 7. LETS GO HAWKS! LETS GO HAWKS! LETS GO HAWKS!

Like I said right after the Stars lost... Vancover just sh*t their pants knowing they have to face Chicago. I think Chicago was the last team Vancover wanted to face..
Hawks in 7 with the upset..

Despite Vancouver winning the President's trophy and the Hawks backing into the playoffs, this will hopefully be a great matchup given recent playoff history between these two teams. Chicago is a far cry from the team they were when they won the Cup last year, but they still have a ton of talent and know what it takes to win in the playoffs. This is not who I'd want to be facing in the first round as a Canucks fan, and I'm looking for history to repeat itself. Chicago in 7 with the upset.

Canucks in 5
Vancouver has art ross trophy winner in daniel, henrick was close with almost 100 points, 40 goal (and top 5) scorer in kesler, way more depth than last year, one of the best d's in the league which is finally healthy, a vezina finalist and the best backup in the league. chicago still has some wicked snipers but all their toughness is gone which is what got vancouver off their game last year. Farrrrr different matchup than last year
