I don't think that Ovie is above coaching but I Do think that he gets a pass on defensive play. I don't think that Kovalchuck gets called out for not bachchecking and other guys of their calibre. Boudreau is probably a good coach but then again he does have a great team to coach.

Actually, I like to watch the Caps play. It's fun to watch all offense and no defense.

Not that it'll get you any Cups, but it sure is exciting to watch. It's like the Indianapolis Colts of the late 90's and 2000's until they got Bob Sanders.

Your asking him to get people to do something they are not good at. A little defensive responsibility is good but their best bet is to outscore not out defence. Did anybody ask Gretzky or Lemieux to backcheck or stay out of the neutral zone waiting for a pass?
