I agree, when racing back for a puck, the dman is very vulnerable, and Brown simply didn't need to hit him at all there. Very dangerous and disrespectful to the other player, doesn't matter what jersey is being worn.

He did get him on the hip, it wasn't from behind, but still a dangerous hockey play that could have gone horribly wrong.

I think Brown is a good, honest player and think he should have let up and maybe crunched him on the boards and not into the boards.

Ok so between this, and the refs threatening the Leafs with 10 min misconducts if they keep challenging Prust and the Habs, wtf is going on..seriously? And if they stopped the fight, there should be no penalties.

What a disgrace, stop ruining our game.

They did away with the race for the puck years ago in junior hockey , the no touch iceing has prevented a multitude of injurys , the NHL has to go the same way , no scrums behind the net anymore , and the game has speeded up considerbly ..

Dear Brose:

It's over. The moneymen have taken over the game. You can whine all you want but the game is NEVER going to change for the better. Start watching/tranning UFC

The Chicago st Loius game last night featured some of the worst officiating Ive ever seen.
Aside from the linesman not letting Bollig and reaves fight...
they missed a ton of calls, called penalties that didn't require them being called etc... absolute garbage.

Those linesmen should be shot for the Reaves/Bollig incident

I mean, anything could happen, right?

This week at work as been slower and I've read every thread in "remember when" and I have honestly slipped into a bit of a depression. I was born in 88', I wish I could participate in those conversations about the 70's and 80's but I didn't start watching until the 90's and only remember a few helmetless players when I started. I guess I'm holding on to something I never even witnessed
