Not to knock Cat Smasher's thread, but I have a hard time believing that some of these are real.

I could see the Bruins, Oilers, Sabres, and Sharks jerseys being real, but other than that I can't see how these are at all official.

The Canucks may have had the ugliest jerseys of all time in the 80's I believe there was a story about ugly sports jerseys and the finished just behind the Astros in the 80's. But hey at least they didn't wear pants like the Flyers and Whalers.

The Hurricanes unveiled there 3rd today i think it looks very nice. Looks a lot like the one on the first page but without stars they are squares they are grey instead of white.

I personally like the old school Canucks jersey that will be their 3rd jersey this season. It's basically the throwback. I loved the old Vancouver flying "V" from the 80's.

I wish they had of brought that 1 back. But I can tolerate the oldschool Canucks jersey for this year. I like the Bruins,Blues and Yote's as well.

I like it, it looks really sharp. Great design and color scheme.

you're 16 yrs old(at least that's what you say your age is). It was amazing back in my day. The Canucks used this jersey from I think it was around 78 until about 84 or 85. Was/Is one of my favourite NHL jerseys of all-time.

No I wasn't thinking of the horse head (I hated that jersey) - I think I must have been high when I posted this.

I actually own the jersey that I described - but I looked and it is a practice jersey.

I'll change to "I hope the Flames decide to go with the Black Jersey with the Traditional Red C."

This is a pretty decent jersey as far as 3rd's go.

Just another marketing ploy that will drive the salary cap up another few million. Why was there a lockout again? Oh yeah, salaries were through the roof.

Wait, didn't the Red Wings play an entire season with throw back jerseys?? I think it was before the official "third jerseys" came about, but playing the whole year with different jerseys (if memory serves me correctly all the original 6 teams wore old school jerseys) was really just a marketing ploy as well.

I think the Devils are the only team to not use a "third" jersey....

Boston unveiled their 3rd's yesterday they look OK and Minnesota will not have a 3rd jersey this season.
