Simon gets up and picks up his stick connecting with hollweg's neck/chin area as hollweg skates back at him at full speed. Hollweg goes down, with blood. Everybody gets together including Orr with rangers players on bench trying to get their hands on Simon> nobody gets to Simon and he is off ice with 5 minute major misconduct intent to injure. he will surely get suspended for this one. Dirty hit by hollweg - dont mess with Simon!

I am a big Simon fan but that check by Hollweg was definitely not dirty. It was a great check that put the chief down. The retaliation was a thing of beauty though.

If neil can get away with giving a guy a concussion with a late hit, Simon doesnt deserve more than 5 games. Hollweg didnt even get hurt. But Cambell has proven to be a total idiot so u can never predict these thing.

that was not a dirty hit, and simon is a bitch, i mean i hope he gets suspended for the rest of the season, it was not dirty hit at all, i hope beats his ass the next time they met, and if anyone is going to call me a homer, simon is my favorite fighter so figure that one out, simon is a bitch and i hope he retires next year what a *****.

There wasn't even a challenge issued by Simon, he got up off the boards with this crazy look in his eyes and as soon as Hollweg came back around he Paul Bunyan'ed his jaw. Orr was on the opposite end of the ice and couldn't get around the two zebras that had Simon wrapped up. Believe it or not Carol Rachunek was the first one to go at Simon.

Edit: Simon will get at least 5 for this, maybe 7 or 8. It was vicious.

Dude ....Hollwegg was about 6 feet away from Simon, not skating back at him. Hollwegg got hit in the face...not neck........what are you going to post next ....that the Islanders are winning??

Considering it wasnt a baseball bat swing and hollweg is fine - i would be shocked if this gets more than 5 or 7 games. Especially in the middle of the playoff run.

Most people have said so far that it wasn't a hit from behind, and it was a clean hit, including announcers from both teams

i will watch it again, it seems everyone is saying it was a clean hit, so i may have just miss viewed it initialy, but yes, a face chop says 1000 words
