Norris Trophy 2007-08
The James Norris Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the National Hockey League's top "defense player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position".

They should be. No contest this season in my opinion. Although Phaneuf is getting to that level where he'll be among the finalists every season.

Nik Lidstrom.

No contest.

He's the best defenseman in the NHL and deserves this award every year ... plus his team is going to the Stanley Cup (barring a miracle comeback by Dallas, which likely won't happen).

Lidstrom won easily although I'm still bitter he won all those years over Stevens.

chara shouldnt even be mentioned on the list. he has a few good games a year where it seems like he is actually trying and he has a cannon, but he might hurt his team more than any other player on the bruins. he gets toasted 2-3 times per game on average.
