Same here. I watched some Euro-Hockey so far, and more important I've made a monthly subscription to NFL Gamepass and watched football. As I've never watched the NFL so far I'm really enjoying it and I'm surprised that the games are pretty entertaining for me. I don't miss the NHL right now, and I'm thinking about making the season subscription to NFL Gamepass...that would probably mean I would not subscribe to NHL Gamecenter anymore also if they start the season in november

I am picking up tickets to the Halifax Mooseheads season opener this Friday. Screw the NHL. Junior hockey is probably a better more entertaining product anyways. It least all the money and greed hasn't gone to everyone's head at this level.

the only thing this move will do is prove that bettman is a complete fool. the union is not gonna crack and fans are not gonna show up for crap hockey or even watch it, if many will anyways when the lockout ends. the union is dug in as much as the owners and all this will do is make the lockout even longer.

It's just one guy trying to get people riled up, nothing more. The NHL would take a terrible hit if it used replacement players, and Bettman knows that. A cancelled season would be way better than the farce that replacement players would create.

also i think if bettman does pull this stunt, his ass his gone as commish which most of us would be happy with.

ECHL preseason starts tomorrow. And I got my DVDs to keep me entertained on off days. Won't be missing the snoozer NHL one bit this time around.

Yeah all the humble canadian players are chanting "we'll play for free" "we just love the game" "we just want to play" Nothing stopping anyone from "playing" hockey.

Ok, glad I wasn't the only one who caught the absurd irony in his post. Yes, it's all the United States' fault...over half the players are Canadian! About one-fifth are American. I bet none of the owners are Canadian either!

f the season is lost the NHL must die or at the very least suffer great losses. (another) lockout is nothing more/less but absolutely un****ingacceptable.

so I really hope the fans who say they will turn their back on the league do just that when the time is up and ripe -
