Cant help but to feel bad for them, they couldn't even fill their barn in the first round of the playoffs. And it's funny seeing canuck2 talking **** about their situation, have you forgotten where the Phoenix Coyotes?

I've been very clear about the Phoenix coyotes situation and have written numerous threads on that very subject.

You keep associating me with these homers who's goggles are so thick they cant handle anything negative written about there cherished franchise.

the Devils problems are well documented. They should be shut down and transfered to Quebec.

i know some certain clown will claim my comment is out of hatred for the devils because that's all he can come up with which will be laughable in this matter.
The Devils are losing money at almost a faster rate than the US goverment. It's unreal that a SCF team is having that much financial trouble. Almost every other hockey market would have been sold out and filled to capacity. That you would have thought would have brought them out of the red.

The Post isnt the greatest source, but it still is no suprise reading it simply because it really isnt a secret this franchise is in trouble.

The area "The Rock" is in isnt actually all that bad and for the diehard Devils fans I'd like to see that franchise stay and do well. So I hope they fix it. Don't live in to much denial, the Pens were always saying we are doing fine. Everything is great and then 2 Chapter 11's later and a close attempt at relocation and we now have a much better situation.

Well they were practically auditioning for Bettman in the playoffs the way they were declining fights and turning the other cheek.

They have been up against it ever since they decided to plop down right in between three teams with established fan bases. It's amazing they still have trouble with all the success they have had so you could imagine what a couple losing seasons in a row would do. Lou has done a great job making sure that hasn't happened so far so the new age fans and the bandwagon fans have kept them in business.

Can all you so called awesome fans and supporters of your teams please post how many games you've attended this year.

This ownership issue is old news. They have until aug. 14th to get a new owner to buy that scumbag Ray Chambers share and then refinance, if they don't we'll see what happens. If the NHL won't move the Coyotes, they sure as fuk aren't going to move the Devils. So far, they've sold 1500 new season tickets and have a season ticket renewal rate of 95%.

Enough with all the rumors. The NY Post is about as reliable as the National Inquirer when it comes to the Devils. The NHL has already publicly denied the report by the Post and Bettman, who has been in constant contact with the Devils and the banks to which they owe money, says that everything seems to be according to schedule and will be resolved shortly.

Until anything actually happens, it's pointless to discuss. I understand the well documented and pathetic Devils haters drool at any opportunity to bash the Devils but there's nothing new here.

Every game of the playoffs was sold out. Any empty seats, were from someone trying to sell their tix on stubhub for an outrageous amount over face value.

stubhub is outrageous, and with all due respect during the reg season the devils have a hard time selling out. Seems like every flyers devs game in newark i see mostly flyer fans or at least hear more flyer fans then devs fans

That's funny, because that is what a lot of people are saying about the Coyotes as well. Rightfully so, they are still dead last in attendance.

With all due respect, the troll I was responding to stated that they did not sell out games in the playoffs, which is false.

If you are referring to me, I never stated that they didn't sell out their games, I said that they couldn't fill their arena WHICH THEY DIDN'T. Weather they sold out the games or not is irrelevant, there were plenty of empty seats in the building. The truth hurts sometimes.

At least that clears up how they could sign Kovalchuk.

It's an unfortunate situation but not really that uncommon. The leagues loves to gloat and ramble on about how great the league is (financially) when there are more than a couple of teams in serious financial trouble. And I don't see that changing any time in the near future.

Nothing wrong with a recliner sucking down beers for a buck, figure go out before the game, drink at the game, then go out after. Your talking an easy 300. Just with a friend.
