Do not miss the nhl at all.

Funny enough, the same people who are crying for them to "get it done" will be the same ones crying about how much they hate the nhl when it does come back.

Pretty interesting.Especially when it looks like the players for the most part had the upper hand in public opinion. Now if you ask me the tables have turned somewhat.50/50 split. No salary rollback.Something the players were adamant against...I would say that the ball is in the NHLPA's court. But hearing Fehr say that the proposal is an "excellent start" sounds promising though...

And the fact that your team being the Red Wings have nothing to do with that?

If you do infact live in Michigan, you have plenty of minor league options. Some of us don't.

And just because we hate what the NHL has become doesn't mean there still isn't entertainment value of what is still left uncorrupted. Mostly bad and frustratingly dull hockey with the occasional exceptional game is still better than the other sports. It doesn't mean we still don't love the sport, whatever its current state.

well so be it, let them pay for their greed and stupidity with their bodies. makes more room for tough guys and/or their AHL call-ups anyway

that said, the latter part of your post does worry me too, though

I agree with you. I would be more disappointed than devasted if the whole season got cancelled. Hockey plays second fiddle to others sports. Sure, I love hockey but I can definitely live without it.

I kinda felt the same way though I don't think it was in an "all or nothing" kind of way but more like "we like what they had to say but we still need to iron things out instead of just falling into their trap"

I'm not missing hockey, stay out the whole season(or two) for all I care. Greed kills. F*** the fans is their attitude anyway, always has been and always will be.

If this deal isn't approved then there will be no season. That's the smaller story, the bigger story will be the loss of a fan-base that may not return as they did in the past. Let them strike, watch the fans disappear.

It's not like these guys are only paid $10 an hour. For the most part, these players are millionaires or very close to it. If they leave it, and I was an owner my next offer would be 55% to 45% for the players.

Now we have a deadline. If deal is reached, training camp would open Oct. 26. New CBA needs to done by Oct. 25 to save 82-game season.
