Last I heard they didn't agree on how to calculate the revenues. Sounds like they are trying to address most of the player concerns, but it's far from a sure deal. I smell a rat here.

Very true, the issue is they leave little room for further negotiations. If they don't agree on it within a week, there is no way the season can start on November 2nd, at which point the deal is off. It's a take it or leave it deal. The PR leaks make me even more suspicious.

The NHL has done their part, and more I'd say. Certainly the very well payed players can do the same. I like the take it or leave it aspect. Certainly it will show us how much the players play for their fans.

I won't disagree with you there, but I await further details as to whether the players should take it or leave it.
