This situation gets more embarrassing and pathetic every week. What a clusterf*ck of a league. This whole process has done nothing but sour my view of the NHL. I can't, and won't, support a league that recklessly acts with such selfishness, disrespect, and a total disregard for the fans and the game.

Apparently not. You're giving the NHL too much credit, they have shown time and time again that they are the greediest bastards. Every other league gets their **** together...this CBA shouldn't be anything more than moving a few decimal points, the cap had already been implicated.

This is the most embarrassing "negotiation" in sports history. No wonder why ESPN wants nothing to do with the NHL.

It did for the tri-state, that is everyone but this mismanaged league. You seriously need to have your head examined if you think the timing was appropriate.

Yeah I'm sorry Ray but Phila is right on this one. People still went to work. The world kept spinning. It always does. One thing had zero to do with the other.

Of course people still went to work. Life in the literal sense goes on, but there are some things that just stop out of respect. Why do you think the Avs playoff game was postponed the day of the Columbine massacre? It's common sense.

I mean if you want to be offended for no reason go ahead. I'm not going to defend the NHL over anything. But you're really grasping at straws.

Haha, I don't have time to be offended by such a bullshit league, but the fact remains that the timing was inappropriate. And I didn't need another lockout to see the light. I already have a long list of reasons not to support them.

If you say so. I doubt the NHL looked at CNN and decided to do something to take away headlines. They are taking care of their own business. Just like millions of others who went into work to take care of business. You are getting yourself worked up for the sake of being offended about something.

I don't remember what happened with the Avs and the Columbine shooting, but if they cancelled their game, it's because Littleton is down the street. It was a community thing, and therefore a totally different situation.

See my previous post. Should have still waited a day, but I don't have time to get riled up over a mismanaged league.

It's called stating facts. If you think that's me getting riled up, you haven't seen anything yet.

...and yet, once the league comes back and games are on, you'll be watching.

Sometimes I think people just say things to hear themselves speak, yet they don't really mean it. The League knows it, and that's what is disgusting, because they use that knowledge and continue to spit on us, the fans.

People, unfortunately, get slaughtered every day on this planet. Should they stop going about business every single time something tragic happens? What qualifies? When kids die? When planes go into buildings? Only when bad **** happens to americans?
