Yeah but you're old. Also, kind of creepy how much you enjoy watching these young boys play.

I've been able to occupy my hockey watching time the rest of the days by either going to the bar after my night class on Thursdays, random house parties on Fridays and Saturdays, and NFL on Sundays. And to be honest, I've had so much fun this semester doing those things (well maybe not the NFL part) and the lock-out has kind of allowed that to happen.

Still, I hope a deal is done soon. If there's one thing to ever miss about hockey, it's going to the games.

I know you'd hate it (never specified what I was drinking ), but you know what, it's a nice change of pace than just sitting in my room watching hockey alone on those nights. I've been able to hang out with people and meet new people at school that I probably wouldn't have met had there been hockey.

Perhaps this comes down to me not knowing how to balance hockey and a social life, haha.

At least you got the kick in the ass you needed.

Just think, if the season is cancelled you might lose your virginity.

I keep thinking if they play 30 games or so, having Columbus or Florida winning it all. Wonder if they will cut the cup to 1/3rd also. I could care less at this point.

Not going to any games over here...you guys are lucky to have junior hockey not far away...I just can't watch the piss-poor hockey over here, it's like watching women-hockey in slow-motion in empty stadiums. Just went once so far and was drunk already after the fist period because it was so boring.

Can we move on now.
On the first note this league and everyone in it sucks...disgrace

All these leagues charge way less than what you are paying. Your sending your son to an elite program that 95% won't send their kids too. As you can see with the indoor league you pay between $895 to $1250 and that is mostly due to rental time for the league. even doubled it is still $500 less than what you pay. Outdoor clinics and such cost much less also. Your comparing apples and oranges.

Your paying more by choice. The whole argument is if soccer is cheaper than hockey and by all accounts... yes...period. Hockey even part time is more expensive due to the fact from ages 4-6 soccer is basically a ball to kick around. Hockey equipment pays for the soccer season alone. Soccer for 4-8 years from $70-100 for the league and another $45 for cleats and shins throw in 2 balls, shorts we'll say $200 even though most can be less than that. Hockey equipment before I even get past the shin, elbow, Shoulder pads and helmet I at roughly $250 and that is going with all mid level stuff. No throw in skates, sticks, gloves, pants and various other stuff your well into $500 bucks, you can go cheap as can be and spend only $300...not including ice time and skating lessons....There is no comparison at any level

Just for you hockey starved fans , the London Knights won their tenth straight game last night and are in first place one point in front of the Owen Sound Attack a team they play in their rink tonight .

They have had some snow up that way and it's still snowing , got word from a fan that lives up that way that the roads are not the best they can be real slippery in places , staying home for this one , will watch it on the tube ..
