Time for a quick bye-bye wave to the 2012-13 NHL season?

Bet Mario Lemieux's new house will not be on MTV Cribs until the lockout is over. No need to fuel the fire.

I really dont care anymore. I'm getting along just fine without hockey. I watched a few CHL games that werent bad. They can take this season and stick it. I'll never pay for another hockey game ever again. I may go if I get a freebe but I'm not paying for anything to do with the NHL ever again.

Not sure if this is actually the whole issues but if it is, then it's really f*cking ridiculous.
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=411343 "Deputy commissioner Bill Daly laid out the three key areas where he felt they remained apart. As part of an offer of US$300 million in deferred payments and a 50-50 split of revenues, the owners wanted: -- a 10-year term for the CBA, with a reopener after eight years (the NHLPA offered eight years, with an option to opt out after Year 6). -- no compliance buyouts, which would allow teams to buy out contracts without being penalized by the salary cap. -- contract term limits of five years for free agents and seven years for a team's own players, which Daly described as "the hill we will die on." The NHLPA proposed an eight-year cap on contracts." THAT'S IT?!!? They can't agree on those damn issues? |

im assuming you didn't see any of the press conference last week though that was what was said then. daly and the attorney/lawyer went into the meeting and were looking for yes or no answers on those three items, in return, they got fehr sticking another proposal in their face which then turned into the whole debacle that it became especially on twitter. one minute everyone was optimistic, then the next they were confused and all hell broke loose.
so for everyone siding with the players, i hope you see that fehr is the biggest problem in this whole situation. chris campoli even said that fehr was still gonna hold out for a better offer which is why it is where it is now. others blaming bettman for this and other lockouts need to get their heads screwed on straight and realize that he is the puppet for the owners, not the one calling the shots. he is taking direct orders and going with them. if you wanna blame jeremy jacobs go right on ahead, but understand that buttman is their bitch and doing what they want. |
