This is a hockey fights forum, right? Any goalie who can't keep a straight face while fighting a guy like Andrew Peters gets my vote. Write-in vote: Ray Emery. Best goalie/enforcer.

Anyone voting for Kipprusoff is just clowning around! If you put the guy anywhere else in the league, he becomes mediocre.

Way Over Rated
Broduer is the most overrated goaltender around. When he faces more than the average shots his game or lack of it is exposed. When you give up 4 goals on 9 shots you are not a top goaltender. He changed his equipment after that game ,the same equipment he played the season with its not the equipment its you. But he tries to turn the attention away from him and points out that Ottawa's net-minder leaves a lot of rebounds around. Hey Martin at least he stopped the first shot. Try doing that once in a while when the game is needed.

Luongo takes it
Quote:
Very Simple Luongo had 47 wins, in two less games, They both had about the same amount of shots on net and saves, both with .922 sv %. The difference is Vancouver was short handed an amazing 436 to the Devils 271, thats 165 more times. The PK was Van 86.9% and the Devils 85.2%. 57 goals against Vancouver and 40 against the Devils. Only 17 more goals with 165 more opportunities. Thats a direct result of Luongo. Thats pretty impressive. Also like Merlin said he was 26-7-5 with 30+ shots against him. Broduer is 17-7-2. That means Luongo had 38 games with 30 + shots fired at him compared to 26 for Marty. Marty also has 11 shootout wins. 2.18 for Marty and 2.28 for Luongo. Marty face 25 or less shots 27 games, Luongo 24 games. What does is for me is the amount of shorthanded times Luongo had to face with giving up only 17 more goals in 165 more opportunities for the opponent. And the the fact that he faced 12 more games than Marty with 30+ shots being fired on him. Both had pretty much the same statistics in regards to Number of shots face and saved, GAA, W-L-OL but the extras I must give to Luongo. And we all know that the Devils play a very closed Game as compared to Vancouver with their forwards always coming back on the play. Great season by both of them My pick is for Luongo |

You know what you are forgetting is that when Team Canada was put together why was it that the most brilliant minds in hockey didn't name him their starting goalie. If he was that good why was he warming the bench?
He plays with a great defense in front of him when he faces a lot of shots he is average/good not great. Great players carry their team in playoff games,he fell short of that this year and lets not forget the soft wrap around goals that he seems to give up in big games late in the 3rd period or overtime.
