If Pahlsson is a tank for playing 275, what does Pando get for 283?
You'll remember that Madden has won the Selke before. Madden and Pandolfo are the two best shut down checking forwards in the game. Look at how Pandolfo was able to stifle Jagr in all of thier meetings. I think Pandolfo should get it. |

Samuel Pahlsson is my pick this year.
Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk are both awesome defensive players. They both are used in all defensive schemes (faceoffs, pk, end of game, overtime, etc) and typically play against the other team's top line just like Fedorov did the year he won the Selke in Detroit. It won't be long until we see one of these two winning the Selke. |

it has to be jay pandolfo. the guy can shut down the other teams top guys like what he did with jagr and do it clean since he only had 8 PIM's last year.

The further the Ducks go into the playoffs, the more I've started to see how important Pahlsson is to Anahiem. A good shut down guy who can contribute some big goals here and there. The work he did on the Sedins was pretty impressive.

Rod Brind'Amour
Goals Assists Points +/- 26 56 82 7 Nuf said. Id take him over pandolfo and SAMUEL PAHLSSON, plus brind'amor is a better faceoff man, look at his percentage. He has a better plus minus goals and assists than both players combined. how can he not win? |

The problem with Pahlsson is that nobody in the eastern half of NA ever sees this guy play. (Shoot it hasn't even been mentioned that he is the top hitter on a very physical team.) Otherwise, it wouldn't have taken so long for him to get noticed, or for his line to be called (on many, many occasions) the best shut down line in the league. With their continued success into the playoffs, shutting down every top line they play against more often than not, more people are getting a clue. |
