Try and get that treatment from some NBA or MLB stars...

Great story!
NHL players dont get the credit they deserve in the USA.

I've actually met Jonatan Papelbon from the Red Sox and Kevin Garnett from the Celtics and they were really down to earth.... sh1t, i met Jeter also in NY and he wasn't an ass either, and he saw that i was wearing a Manny Ramirez jersey

Lets get this straight now, with the Steelers winning the Super Bowl and now they Pens have the chance to rebound and win the CUP. We are the City of Champions AGAIN.

LETS GO PENS, FLYERS SUCK!!!
It feels good doesnt it. Looks like Boston is passing the torch to Pitsburgh. You just need the Pirates to win the World Series (but without Jason Bay that aint happening)

I thought it was funny when the waitress said "Most Bruins were cheapskates." I wonder which ones..... my moneys on Savard, Kobasew and Montador

That's a tight story man, thanks for sharing it Too bad Godard wasn't around. You should have walked up to Sidney and told him what a puss he is.

And Crosby's response would have been, "I think you have me confused with Marc Savard, plus, I tip better."

Sorry fellas, had to change the names to protect the innocent. Got some unwanted attention. I just had to share in a place where it would be appreciated and no one would be hounding me to "hang out" every time the Pens came into town.

Sorry about the length, too. I wanted to keep it as true to the details as possible. I meant for everyone to read it when they were bored at work or school or something like that.

Buc, I've actually met Erik Cole one time years ago. It was during his rookie year here, which was the 2001-2002 season. He's married and has a daughter so he's more of a homebody here.

Bruinbrigade, that's funny. My first thought was Kobasew, as well. I don't know, he just seems like kind of a d-bag. I'm probably wrong, though.

Great story, thanks for sharing. Hockey players really are a different breed from the "normal" pro athlete.

On a side note, man if I was one of those guys, I'd make Mr. $8.7 million a year Crosby pay for EVERYTHING! He makes 10x what most of what those guys make. I can't believe they don't slip the waitress come cash to pick that card every time......

Brooks, great story buddy. Sounds like a lot of fun. Also sounds like the boys were cool to you and the girl too, which is always good.
