You beat me to it...mods should cancel my thread. Thx.

Anyways...was about time lockout ends, a shorter season gives bad teams more chances to make the playoffs, so eventually this hal-fseason could be interesting.

I couldn't miss this news as my Twitter account went crazy about 20 minutes ago.

The only good thing about the lockout coming to an end is not having to hear about the god damn lockout anymore. Instead that bitching and moaning will be replaced by media wimps complaining about hitting and fighting.

If the lockout went on any longer the season would have been a round-robin. As it is, it should be a nice sprint to the playoffs.

I wonder if the damage is already done from the fans.

I wish. Sadly a vast majority of fans will welcome back the NHL with open arms. And once again the NHL will have the last laugh.

Well, I was hoping for another cancelled season, but oh well. Can't have everything.

At least this will give me something to watch between now and the start of OTA's and mini-camp...mostly Pens games, though. I will not be buying any merchandise, and the remaining tickets in my season ticket plan will be sold. May as well try to make some extra cash off these jackholes.

From what I've seen so far, the agreement is still "tentative"... so it's not out of the realm of possibility that these primadonnas find something to derail it.

Anyway.... I suppose I should look at this as some sort of great news? The headline on my TSN app said "A Great Day For Hockey"? I dunno. My gut reaction was "**** them". I'm a vindictive prick, so in my eyes it will be at least 113 days before I have any f•cks to give.

Cant say I missed the NHL with all the great junior hockey I have enjoyed , that said I will be watching some games on the tube but wont spend any money to attend any games this shortened season , not that interested in the end of the lockout .

Was listening to TSN this morning and they said most teams will hold a short camp with 30-32 players invited , looks like most junior players will be staying with their teams , only top end players will get an invite like Hamilton , Harrington but most will opt for players that are playing in the AHL or Europe right now ..

I'm flabbergasted that a *tentative* deal is done. It seemed like both sides were unwilling to budge on their demands. I guess a little season is better than no season. Bravo!

Anyone going down to the arenas box offices to get tix? January 19th is the tentative date of season openers.

The lockout ends....and in all likelyhood, i'm moving out of Florida very soon. To a state where they don't even have AHL action, let alone NHL. Do I care? Not really. Go play boys....so where's my Free Center Ice?

**** you, i'll be supporting the East Coast and Southern League. Shove it up your ass
